What makes you passionate about working in childcare? My passion comes from being given the opportunity to guide children’s learning and support educators to provide beautiful stimulating environments and interactions.  The first 5 years of a child’s life shape who they are and what they will do in their future, with this comes a great responsibility to ensure we provide a wonderful learning environment which supports their growth.

What is the funniest or most memorable moment you can share from working in childcare? There are so many moments that are wonderful, one that really sticks out for me is when I was running the pre-school room in Cairns Qld. We decided as a group for end of year we would put on a play. The children choose snow white and the 7 dwarfs and together we wrote a play, every child was so engaged in the project and excited to share the play with their parents. At the end of year concert, the parents watched the play in movie form and the pure joy and laughter from everyone filled the room, it really impacted me how deeply bonded with each child I was and how in that matter I was filled with pride.

Why do you believe your centre is an excellent choice for parents seeking the best childcare? The Learning Tree Barton is a small centre with a family feel, each one of the Educators and myself are working together to ensure we strive for excellence, its our mission to always improve and build our little community. We believe strongly it takes a village to raise a child and we would love to support your child to fulfil their dreams.
